Today, we talked about very important things that are often not on the agenda of the media and the public:
- the important role of rural areas for the world: half of the world population live here – and they produce what we all eat!
- the importance of family farming for the fight against hunger worldwide, against unemployment and for the environment
- and: the power of radio and social media to improve life in rural areas.
But what has this to do with us, the children? Well, not enough…. So far.
But now, we have started to work for change:
Here is our vision of a new, powerful media voice for the children in rural areas!
And: our ideas are not just ideas: Our work presented here shows that we already practice what we envision!
And we are not the only ones: In many many other rural communitieas across the Maghreb, children raise their voice, together with Radijojo, as you can see here.
And what about you? Please share your ideas, experiences, actitivities with us!
This is our contribution of the International Year of Family Farming 2014, initiated by the World Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the World Association of Community Radios (AMARC).
